About the Role
As an Analyst, Financial Reporting, you will support the external reporting function by preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports. The role involves ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong control environment.
You will work closely with different business units, regulatory teams, and reporting functions to analyze financial data, identify trends, and ensure accurate reporting to regulators and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply current product, industry, and market knowledge to reporting activities.
- Consolidate, review, and analyze quarterly financial data for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform quarter-over-quarter variance analysis.
- Coordinate financial data collection with business units, Regulatory Controllers, and SEC reporting teams.
- Assess reporting issues and assist in identifying effective solutions.
- Communicate financial information clearly and highlight potential concerns.
- Participate in preparing and filing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual regulatory reports.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation between regulatory filings, SEC filings, and published financial reports.
- Follow internal control procedures and validation checks to maintain data integrity.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to regulatory agencies.
- Interpret regulatory and SEC requirements and support policy implementation.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a finance-related role with exposure to accounting, financial statements, or regulatory reporting.
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and business functions.
- Advanced Excel and computer skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Project management experience or knowledge is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience in Product Control or Financial Control.
- Knowledge of SEC Reporting or Regulatory Reporting processes.
