About the Role

The Banking Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting Transaction Services functions while ensuring compliance with ANZ’s internal policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.

In this role, you will manage customer complaints by accurately categorizing, indexing, and routing them to the appropriate teams. The position plays a key role in ensuring efficient complaint handling, tracking, reporting, and resolution processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess customer complaints to ensure all necessary information is available.
  • Categorize complaints accurately using predefined frameworks such as product, service, billing, or delivery-related issues.
  • Assign relevant tags and metadata for efficient complaint tracking and reporting.
  • Enter complaint details accurately into the Complaint Management Operating System (CMOS).
  • Collaborate with customer service, compliance, and legal teams for appropriate routing and escalation.
  • Maintain data accuracy and ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive customer information.
  • Identify recurring complaint trends and highlight them for further analysis and process improvement.
  • Assist in preparing reports related to complaint volumes, categories, and resolution timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Previous experience in customer service, complaint handling, or data entry is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools or complaint management systems is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
